But my graduation is not the reason for the title of this post. It is for one of the biggest milestones that Grant has reached thus far... Last night Grant took his first steps! He has been cruising around the coffee table for a couple months now and would even walk while holding at least one of our hands. But if we'd let go of his hand, he would stand for a second and then sit down. We've been trying to coach him to walk to us for about a week now and then out of the blue last night, he just started walking.
This week Grant also learned how to crawl up the stairs. Since he does not yet know how to get down the stairs safely, we had to finally put up some baby gates. I recently learned how to edit our videos (somewhat) and have sped this clip up a bit. You'll have to bear with me as I continue to improve my editing skillz, so these are not of Erin and Todd caliber quite yet...
