Lately Grant has been all about singing songs that he learns in school. This is one that we caught on video and we assume is actually titled "months of the
year". Other current favorites are "days of the week", "5 little speckled frogs", and "5 little monkeys" (the ...jumping on the bed version as well as the ...swinging from a tree one).
February 2012 got off to a snowy start for us. A dreaded "upslope" storm came through and broke a
100 year record for February in Denver. The previous Feb. record for snowfall was 14 inches and we got somewhere close to 17 inches in our neighborhood.
 |
| Brady (yes a Brady picture!) was probably the most bummed about the storm. |
 |
| As opposed to Grant who was excited to go outside... even if it was just to walk down the street to get the mail. |
President's Day weekend was a pretty busy, but fun, weekend for us. Friday night we went to a Yo' Mamas and Papas concert. They are a band that sings kid friendly songs from Old MacDonald to Sweet Child of Mine. Although Grant wasn't dancing around as much as
last year, probably because he was too busy kid-watching, he still seemed to have a good time. Reid slept through most of it in the Bjorn (crazy given how loud the music was!) but we think he had a good time too at his first concert. Near the end of the concert a lady asked if she could take a picture of Grant. After she took a couple and mumbled something about his beautiful face, she handed me a card that said, "You've just been discovered" which had a number to call for a modeling and TV agency. Shannon and I kind of laughed about it (and then each had our own dream of Grant thanking us in his Oscar acceptance speech, or at least earning some good college money), but nonetheless we didn't call the company.

Then on President's Day, we went to the Denver Aquarium with the Todd's. Grant rushed through most of it until we got to the tigers (I had no idea tigers could swim) and met up with Emily, Avery, and Henry. After that he wanted to go all the way back towards the beginning where he remembered seeing dinosaur bones on the wall. (of course...)

Finally, here's a couple pictures of the littlest Scrivner, who is now 3 months old, and Grant celebrating one of the
greatest comebacks in KU history!
 |
| We're definitely getting more smiles from the little guy |
 |
| Grant is still being a GREAT big brother |
