March is always one of my favorite times of the year. March Madness, St Patrick's Day, and a beginning to wonderful weather all create a perfect few weeks. These last several weeks have been even busier than normal because the
Jayhawks have made it back to the Final 4, Shannon resumed work after her maternity leave, which meant Reid started daycare, and we were lucky enough to have a visit from Gigi.

St. Patrick's Day was busy this year because first we got to go meet the newest little Colorado
Jayhawk, John Rogers, and we also had the Wrights over for a traditional Irish dinner of corned beef and cabbage. Here are a few pictures from around St. Patrick's Day.

The Monday after St Patrick's Day was Reid's first day at school. He did a fantastic job just like we expected. We (and by that I mean Shannon) had a couple of trial runs of getting two boys ready for school before Shannon had to go back to work and Gigi came to visit.

On 3/21/12 Reid turned 4 months, which meant another trip to the doctor for a well baby check-up. Much like Grant, Reid is not exactly tipping the scales. We were kind of surprised because unlike Grant, Reid wants to eat all of the time. Currently Reid weighs 13 lbs 9.3 oz (18th percentile), he was 60.5 cm long (8th percentile), and his head circumference was at the 37th percentile. Here are Reid's 4 month pictures.
March would not be complete if I didn't mention the Madness that goes along with this month. After a few years of the disappointment of a number 1 seed not making it to the Final 4, Kansas surprised us and quite possibly overachieved this year. Last Sunday the
Jayhawks played against North Carolina to get to the Final 4 so we invited over the Rogers. It was an epic game and had a fantastic finish. The funniest part was when Grant started the
Rock Chalk Chant with about 4 minutes left and the game not wrapped up yet. Maybe he was on to something because UNC did not score the rest of the game. It was pretty cool to hear him start the chant without prompting, but it was even better to hear the chant later echo through the Edward Jones Dome.
