2 months

2012 got off to a pretty rough start in our house.  Starting on New Year's Eve and continuing for almost the entire first 3 weeks of January, at least one person in the house was sick with Strep Throat, Pink Eye, or just the plain old Cold (with a cough that would not go away!).  Luckily Reid somehow managed to escape the crud that was going around.  As you can imagine, that led to a fairly uneventful few weeks, but during the last two we've tried to make up for lost time.

Last Saturday we went to Andrew March's 3rd birthday party.  Since then, Grant has been talking about how his own birthday is "coming up soon".  Who wants to tell him that June is still five months away...any takers??

Then this weekend, we went with the Rogers' to the Denver Children's Museum.  Alex and Grant had a blast checking out all of the rooms with different activities.
Of course, the first stop had to be at the firetruck

Not sure who was more excited about the Bubble Room, me or Grant

On Friday we went to Reid's 2 month well baby check-up.  He weighed in at 11 lb 5 oz (33.9 %), was 22.9" long (41.2%) and his head was at the 13% for his age (though Shannon feels the medical assistant didn't get an accurate head measurement).  In the last week and a half he has started to smile and coo more (and to us, which is pretty fun) and has decided that his favorite activity is kicking his feet.  He's following the same sleep pattern as his older brother at this age, which means he's up every 2 hours to eat (or occasionally every 3 hours).  He did go a 5 hour stretch once last week and then a 4 1/2 hour stretch on Friday but nothing too consistent over 3 hours yet.
