This time of year always seems to have its highs and lows and this year was no different. Even though I am writing this a while later, the sting of another March defeat for KU still leaves a little bitter taste for me. Luckily, Easter was early this year and I was forced to recover quickly so that I would not ruin what seems to be one of Grant's favorite holidays. But before all of that we were able to do quite a bit of fun things, like celebrate Lily's 2nd birthday and have some fun in the snow.

We had a pretty busy Easter weekend this year. On Saturday we went to an Easter egg "hunt" that was inside a sports dome. The eggs were spread out over the indoor soccer field and the boys gathered up as many as they could. A few of the eggs had special prizes like Avs tickets, but the rest were empty, and Grant was devastated. He was expecting candy, toys, heck even a sticker, but he got nothing. He recovered quickly when we realized that he could turn in the empty eggs for all kinds of goodies and he got to go in a bouncy house. Easter morning, we had the same kind of set up as last year with an egg trail from upstairs all the way to the kitchen where the Easter baskets were. But this year after we opened up the baskets, we added coloring eggs as a new tradition.

Sorry it took so long to post but I needed a while to get past what could have been included in this March post. I mean, I still don't know how KU was up by 5 with 30 seconds left and lost. If someone can explain it to me, I'd greatly appreciate it.
