A few weeks ago, the Goddard School celebrated the "week of the young
child". It was a pretty fun week, especially for Grant, because each
day had a different theme like Pajama Day or Rockies Day. It also made
for a little bit of "homework" for mom and dad because we had to
decorate a cut-out of a child with words, pictures, and stickers to
describe our children, but we had fun making them.

The
school also had a Mother's Day celebration in Grant's class. It
included three songs for the moms. Grant pretty much sang a solo during
the Barney "I love you" song (I swear that he has never seen Barney),
and then the kids decorated a picture frame for their moms. The best
part though was when Grant brought the frame home (that included a
picture of him and Shannon), he had already figured out where he could
put the picture... up on the bookshelf in his room.

Then during Mother's Day weekend,
we had the pleasure of meeting the Rogers' for dinner and a trip to the
aquarium. We started off at Pasquini's, a pizza place with an awesome
make-your-own pizza option on the kid's menu. We will definitely make a
return trip there. Then we headed over to the aquarium where once again the tigers stole the show (yes, the tigers).

And finally on the Reid front, last
week we added a new item to his menu, and this time it was something
other than cereal; butternut squash. Even though he still doesn't have
this eating thing down, I do feel that he likes the squash better than
rice and oatmeal cereal, and it seems that each day he's eating a little
more. Next up will be carrots!
The Grant/Tiger photo is RIGHTEOUS!
